Joining the frends crew for the weekend of the frendly gathering means a few things, waking up every morning looking for missing shoes, cell phones, digging the dirt out of your eyes, and wandering a campsite full of people sleeping in, and around their tents -- or someone else’s

It was a weekend to join in on the party.Braving the cold winds were a nonissue if you were playing the drums with Mikkel Bang and Luke Mitrani, or hanging out by the campfire with Jack Mitrani, Danny Davis, Mason Augirre and the rest of the Frends crew. Everyone bonded as they sang along to a live performance of Led Zepplica and drank beers. Or as I would prefer, something a little stronger.

Even the dogs got frendly.

tent city.

When the bright sun rose and people started to stir and stumble out of their tents, they gathered 'round what was left of the campfire, laughing and sharing stories about the night before. After picking up what was left of their belongings everyone got ready to go to the hill with the crew.

The Frends worked with Mammoth Mountain to get free lift tickets ,and opened up South Park for everyone who attended. It was a private terrain park paradise for riders. A run full of hidden jumps, rails, and even a mini halfpipe and giant slalom contest.

After a fun day of riding, awesomely enough the fun didn't stop there the frends crew brought Crowley Lake to life at night.

Dance party at night.

The only girls that competed in the Giant Slalom race.

While no one left in the morning without making a few new frends, some people had it a little harder then the others,

this frend had a rough morning, but I'm sure seeing Led Zepplica live was all worth it.

After spending a whole day in my bed to recuperate, I'm ready and anticipating next years Frendly Gathering.

People who said they we're always going to be there...who aren't
People who were never there
People who don't have to be there...but are
People who will always be there

Thank you, for making me, me.
